Unlocking the Secrets of the Universe and Infinite Life Revised

ATOMS – SUBATOMIC PARTICLES – QUARKS – NEUTRINOS

Different types of Atoms are composed of between 150-200 subatomic particles.11 The three (3) basic ones are electrons, protons, and neutrons. Subatomic particles within an atom are confined and held together by a strong nuclear force called gluons. Each subatomic particle has one (1) or more of six (6) different constituents named quarks.12 The quarks are named flavors. Names of the flavors are: strange, charm, up, down, top and bottom.

Quarks were discovered in 1964 by DR. Murray Gell-Mann and DR. George Zweig, ( both working independently of each other ). Quarks have a positive and negative charge.12a  The author of this hypothesis believes that because quarks have a + positive charge, their resonance is transferred to neutrinos. Neutrinos were first postulated by Dr. Wolfgang Pauli in 1930 but were not discovered until 1962 by Doctors Leon M. Lederman and Jack Steinberger. 12b Neutrinos have Mass but they do not have a charge. They are the smallest particle in the universe that has mass. It is believed by the author that because Neutrinos have only a very small mass, they may have only a small charge as well, presently their charge is so small it can not be scientifically detected. Neutrinos came in existence one second after the “Big Bang” and are continuously being produced by nuclear reactions, nuclear bomb explosions, stars (including our sun) particle accelerators and supernovas. Neutrinos are a subatomic particle but they are not a part of the atom. Referenced from Scientific American, September 7th 1999. Scientists have devised ways to detect, measure and count neutrinos.
